I’m very new to this and I understand the protein, starchy carbs, healthy fats etc that are to be included in each meal. Am I incorrect in thinking that these are ALL you include in your meals?
For example, Meal 1 I could have an egg (protein), sweet potato (starchy carb), half an apple (simple carb) and cook the chicken in olive oil (healthy fat). When I look at some of the recipes there are numerous other ingredients and also doubles of some either starchy carbs or healthy fats etc.
I am confused at how you could be following the recommendations while eating the meals in the recipes. Could someone please explain this to me?
Sorry to sound so simple but I am trying to wrap my head around it. Once it is explained I promise I won’t annoy anyone again!
