Now that Spring is here I thought I’d share a new lower-calorie cocktail recipe I think you’ll love … without sabotaging your progress.

2 basil leaves
2 slices of fresh grapefruit
1 ounce grapefruit juice
Splash of all-natural liquid stevia sweetener
1 1/2 ounces gin or vodka
Splash of sparkling white wine

This recipe also goes well with tequila.


1. In a shaker, muddle basil and fresh grapefruit. Add grapefruit juice, liquid stevia, and gin or vodka and shake vigorously with ice for 20 seconds.

2. Strain ingredients into a martini glass and top with sparkling wine. Garnish with a grapefruit twist!
